Order of Chakras
The different chakra points of the human body begin at the base of your spine (the bottom) as opposed to at the top of the head (the crown). This is because it is understood that as each lower level is satisfied and fulfilled, we are able to build on that foundation, increasing our consciousness and growing towards (more profound and conscious) connection to the Universe. That being said, any chakra among the different chakras can be in a state of imbalance at any time, regardless of it’s placement.

Chakra Health
Chakras are said to rotate at a specific energetic frequency, doing their job of moving this energy flow and distributing prana throughout the systems. Sometimes, because of stress, diet, and our general responses to life, these energetic centres can get out of balance or become altogether blocked. This imbalance causes issues in the energetic distribution, which results in physical, mental, emotional and spiritual symptoms. (This is a great tool to help you (re) align each of your chakras).
How Stones Support Chakra Balance
Crystal healing has seen an increase in popularity over recent years, however the prospect of a healing stone is still met with much skepticism in the traditional medical community. Crystals are known to hold vast amounts of energy because of the time it takes for them to form in the earth, during which time they are absorbing and holding specific frequencies that are said to support the inner workings and physical strength of humans. It is believed that they carry healing properties and dependent on the type, colour, origin etc., crystals can be used on the body to help cure a variety of physical, mental and emotional ailments by acting as an energetic cleansing agent. That is, imbuing it’s positive energies and allowing the negative energies to be released from the human body it is being used on, resulting in good health, or at the very least an improvement.

Conclusion

Interestingly, we tend to be drawn to the crystals and stones that would be most supportive to us. Because everything is alive, it’s almost like our cells communicate with the cells of the beings around us, and we instinctively know what it is that is good and/ or not good for us. This is one of the most significant benefits of learning to listen to your body. When choosing your chakra gemstones, it’s always a good idea to take a moment, have a few deep breaths, connect with your Higher Self, and feel what are the best stones for you. Even if you don’t know consciously, your cells most certainly know!
