Astrology. Consciousness. Soul Alignment. Practical spirituality. ONWARDS.
Join me as I embrace the everyday journey of stepping into soul alignment, freedom, wellness, conscious living and empowered motherhood. I’m building the life that I’m excited to wake up to every single day, and I’m stoked to share my journey with you..Welcome to That Zoi Life.
I don’t believe that you’re here by chance. This space is created to support and connect like minded mothers (whether biological, symbolic or otherwise) in their pursuit of growth, both personal, familial and collective. I’ll share my journey as I raise my family, renovate my 100 year old home, grow in Spirit and self mastery, and work alongside folks just like yourself to support the evolution of humanity and the onset of the Aquarian age.
Celeste is a trained and professional Astrologer, and the writer and creator of That Zoi Life. (among other things…)

The Median Woman
There is an interesting intersection where the security and community of religion cross with the freedom and inner knowing of spirituality.
And again, another intersection where the mundane practicalities of life meet the transcendental soul reaching heights of existentialism.
When I was intuitively led one day to some verses in the Bible that alluded to astrology, I was sent down a rabbit hole that both frightened and exhilarated me.
That courageous search brought me to a painful moment of displacement from the Christian church (both by my own sentiments, and by the fearful rejection that surfaced in most of my closest relationships within that institute).
While I was sad about it, I was also FREE about it, and even in my years as student president at Bible College, and in my many years of service in the Christian community, I always had a deep sense that there was a thread connecting all of the spiritual traditions of the world, even if there was a cultural opposition to that line of belief.
As a leader in the Christian community, my perspectives and approaches had always felt a bit edgy, and my suggestions of non-denominationalism, opening to the sacredness and teaching opportunities in human sexuality, and anger at the power dynamics between husbands and wives always had me feeling like I didn’t “quite” belong.

So, eventually, I left.
I took my passion for Spirit connection, exhortation and human development, and left the condemnation and rules that had always left me feeling stifled and “too much”.
Eventually, I found a place that was spacious and open to who I am, and a community willing to embrace my fire and gentleness…because they too had come to embrace their own.
So now, here I stand. At the X where these 4 roads meet, reaching outwards towards community and structure, and at the same time learning to trust the inner leading that magically manifests my hearts desires and continues to lead me forwards (away from fear, and towards love).
Attempting to bring dignity and beauty to my earth existence, while at the same time living in the reality that this earth life is not all there is.
I know I am not in this place alone, in fact there is a whole generation of people “waking up” to their own inner divinity, and to their birth right to sovereignty and to a life that is connected to Spirit and to other resonating souls.
These are the Aquarian Age folk. They’ve come bearing gifts and seeking reconciliation, both with the earth, and with the people who walk it.
They’ve come with an unmistakable twinkle of both freedom and hope in their eyes, and are ready to see the world turn from a top down pyramid structure into a circular one that honours the contributions and value of each person in it.
It’s not an easy task, and if you’re a mother, you know the deep joy and first breaths that follows the agony of birth.
Motherhood is a powerful force. Epigenetics tells us about the incredible genetic molding that happens during gestation, both activating and deactivating different gene expressions. The significance of the early life experiences of people has been studied and proved time and time again.
From the outside, we’re changing diapers, opening fruit snacks and trying (desperately) to get enough sleep.
Come a little closer, look a little deeper, and you’ll see that through what appears to be mundanity, we are building up a people who know and walk in their value and Spirit connection. A generation who is able to identify and speak to the divinity in their fellow man. A people who see and feel the life-force running through the earth, know that same life force runs through them, and therefore acts accordingly.
We are recognizing the potential in the people around us, both young and old, and making time and space to nurture that potential in ways that are both tangible and intangible.
We’re stirring up a system that has been oppressing instead of serving it’s people for far too long.
We’re creating ripples that, when connected with all the others, will be the quietest, most powerful tsunami.
A revolution that begins in the depths of our wombs.
Rest assured, you are not alone, and your efforts, while seemingly insignificant, are precious contributions.
Take a deep breath sister, and at the next contraction…push.
About Me

I am a Montreal born, central Canada raised, currently residing in southern Alberta, black woman in my early 30’s. As a young adult, after earning a degree in theology, I directed children’s summer camps and Christian children’s programs and music ministry. Eventually, I had my first child and decided to switch lanes and became a health care assistant.
A few years later, ironically, my searching heart and deep questionings led me to astrology and out of the church (in that order). I committed to learning astrology, spending the last 6+ years studying both astrology and spiritual development from an esoteric perspective… which has brought me to the place of sharing that I am in now. Currently, I work part time as an astrologer and blogger, and around the clock as a mom to 6 kids, who range from 2-9 years of age.
My husband and I have always wanted a big family, and while it’s loud and often chaotic, we are convinced that parenthood is precious, and that raising conscious children is one of the best ways we can help humanity evolve. I am passionate about being consciously connected to my soul’s evolutionary intentions for this life, and supporting my family and community in doing the same.
We’re taking baby steps each day towards living lives that are reflective of our values of creativity, connection to nature, personal development and community. Sometimes this looks like knowing where to get the best deals on organic food, other times it means committing to DIYing our new home, sometimes that looks like making time to study my transits to understand the growth impetus available in life’s challenges…always it means holding up the situation in question and asking “Where does this fit in our life, if at all?”
Of course we don’t have all the answers, I’m plugging along like every other mom, often making it up as I go or just taking my best shot. I do, however, have SOME of the answers, and I created this space as a means of sharing what I do know, and as a means of holding open the door to connect with other conscious folk who can show up in strength where I cannot.
